In your light shall we see light

Autumn (2)

The second half of the Autumn term takes a darker turn as we discover the story behind the death of King Ethelbert of East Anglia, and write a newspaper report for the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle.

All being well, a flight of colourful dragons takes to the air in the classroom as Christmas approaches, so we read stories and poems about these amazing mythical beasts, and have a go at producing our own dragon poetry and prose, exploring the use of simile and metaphor.

As Christmas arrives, we say "Waes Hael!" and write Anglo-Saxon riddles and kennings to celebrate the season!
