Spring (2)

The Vikings weren't only invaders and attackers - they were fantastic voyagers, traders, merchants and explorers, too. We read the biography of Erik the Red who discovered and named the country of Greenland, managing to persuade over 400 brave settlers to set sail for a new life there.

Inspired by his persuasive abilities, we write advertisements describing the many attractions of Greenland to Viking settlers.

The second half of the spring term then becomes full of music, dance and drama as we work hard on the Year 3 & 4 production. This year, it's about the wonderful world of Bees - a topic we're also exploring in our English and Science lessons.
