Week Beginning: 25th November 2019
'i' will be our sound of the week.
• We will be thinking about the Christmas Story; exploring roles and thinking about why each individual character was so important. We are very busy preparing for our Nativity and will be spending time acting out the story and practising words and dancing.
With this in mind, please spend some time at home helping your child to learn the words that have been sent home. Children have been given the choice of a speaking or non-speaking part and the 'storytellers' have been given the choice of being an angel, star, shepherd or sheep!
• Please return your ticket allocation request for the Reception Nativity as soon as possible.
• In maths, we shall continue to develop number recognition, counting out a specific number of objects, adding two together and recording work in their own way.
• As the weather turns colder, children are beginning to bring in hats, gloves and scarves to wear outside. Please ensure that these are all named.
We haven't learned any new sounds in phonics this week - we have been revising those already learnt and looking at two-syllable words e.g. 'sunset'.
