In your light shall we see light
As an introduction to Year 4, we say a cheery 'Farewell!' to the Romans of Year 3 stationed on Hadrian's Wall, and await the arrival of the Anglo-Saxons - and we practise our personal writing skills by creating diaries and postcards from the past.
The British population fight back against the Anglo-Saxon invasion, however, under the leadership of the legendary King Arthur. We share the story of how he became king, and describe the magical sword Excalibur.
Our story-writing focuses on the punctuation of speech, using capital letters, inverted commas, question marks and full stops, as well as introducing the use of a comma to separate the speech from the reporting clause.
