New Intake Information September 2019

New Intake Information 2019

Starting Dates for September 2019:

Home Visits - Wednesday 4th September, Thursday 5th September, Friday 6th September.

You will have made an appointment for a half-hour for a visit to your home from your class teacher and a Teaching assistant. This is to meet the children in their home environments and to address any last minute queries or concerns from children or adults. If you have not yet made an appointment, or have forgotten the timings, please email or phone the school office at the beginning of September.

No Reception children are in school on these three days.

Monday 9th September, Tuesday 10th September.

Children with surnames beginning A-K will be in school full-time for these two days. Children with surnames L-Z will not.

Wednesday 11th September, Thursday 12th September.

Children with surnames beginning L-Z will be in school full-time for these two days. Children with surnames A-K will not.

Friday 13th September.

All children will be in school full-time from this date.

Occasionally, there are alternative arrangements made for some children, but these will be made individually with class teachers.

What do the children need in school for their first two days?

Please bring:

bookbags, drinks, lunchbox (if hot lunch hasn't been ordered), coat.

If the weather is warm, please send a hat (although we do have spares if necessary).

You may wish to send in sun protection cream. We will help your child by squeezing some onto their hand and supervising them as they apply it themselves.

P.E. kits.

You do not need to send a snack. We have a variety of fruit in school. In Reception, we operate a 'rolling snack' where children are allowed to choose when they have their fruit and/or milk.

We will be bringing hot lunch menus and a letter explaining the ordering process with us to home visits.
