Tuesday 24th March
If we were in school, our learning for this week would have been based on 'Salvation', thinking about the build up to the Easter story. Below details a guided suggested activity which you could do with your child this week.
To introduce Palm Sunday we would have shared a version of the story from 'The Lion's Storyteller Bible' see photo.
After this we would have re-told the story through role-play and dressing up.
It would be lovely if you could read this story to your child, using the attached copy or a version from your own Bible. Then either act out the story or use small world people and a donkey to act it out (perhaps Happy Land or Play Mobil figures)
In school we would have also practised scissor skills but cutting out palm leaves and writing the word 'Hosanna' on the palm leaf for the crowd to wave.
Wednesday 25th March
Discuss the story of The Great Parade.
Can your child re-tell the story in their own words?
What did the crowd call out to Jesus?
Was everyone in the crowd happy? Why not?
Invite your child to either draw, paint or create a collage to show a picture of The Great Parade.
We would love to see a photograph of your child's artwork on Tapestry.
