We are seeking a positive, enthusiastic, well-motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant who will support children with a wide range of needs.
It is expected the successful applicant will have:
· A good level of education including good GCSE passes or equivalent in Math and English
· Experience of working with children with additional needs including Autism and children with EHCP’s.
· At least two years relevant work experience
· Evidence of working within a class to provide general teaching support in the classrooms or in groups and to support children on a 1:1 basis
· Experience in supporting assessment and evidencing learning
· An ability to work with children of all abilities including SEND and our more able and talented children (recent CPD would be an advantage)
· An ability to deliver interventions to support English and Maths
· Flexibility in the year group that they work in
· Good personal communication skills and ability to relate well to children, staff and parents
· An ability to work as part of a team and willingness to be flexible and accommodating in their approach
· Enthusiasm and a strong commitment to achievement, safeguarding and welfare of all children

We have an exciting opportunity for a class teacher to join our happy team in January 2026.
St Paul’s C of E Primary School is an Academy of approx. 400 children with a deep rooted Christian vison that underpins all that we do. Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that promote a love of learning and intellectual curiosity
• Ensure that teaching responds to the strengths and needs of all pupils, using effective differentiation strategies and adaptations.
• Make accurate and productive use of assessment, providing regular feedback to support pupil progress
• Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment
• Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school, developing positive professional relationships
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Excellent subject knowledge and a clear understanding of the primary curriculum
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons
• Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• A commitment to continuous professional development and a desire to grow as a practitioner
