Nativity- Children to be dropped off at school between 17:00-17:20 on Tuesday 10th December. Please drop children at the studio doors and then make your way to St Paul's Church if you are watching the nativity. Photographs and raffle tickets will be sold in the foyer of the church so please remember to bring some pennies. Visitors will be able to access the church by the doors near to the community hall. Children will need to be collected between 19:00-19:15 in the KS1 playground where children are normally dismissed at the end of the day.

In your light shall we see light

The children will be set new spellings on a Monday and will be tested the following Monday. We have started a spelling workshop once a week in which we discuss spelling rules and the children get the opportunity to practise their weekly spellings in a number of fun activities. Below is a spelling menu with a range of ideas you could try at home and it would be great if you could use some of these ways to support your child and help make spellings more engaging. We would also love to hear if you have any other fun ways you practise at home so please feel free to e-mail and let us know!

Please find attached the 100 key words for years 3/4. These words will be covered throughout both year groups in spelling tests and in their writing. These are alongside their weekly spellings, which focus on a phonetic sound pattern and rule. This resource is best used when focusing just on 3-5 words at one time, allowing time to embed their learning.
